Vinegret [vee-nee-grate] is one of the traditional vegetarian Russian dish, usually Russians cook in on a New Year's eve. The word Vinegret means mishmash. This salad is very simple but contains a less of calories, healthy, and has a rich taste. To tell you the truth, I hate boiled beet and carrot.. eek.. but their taste is absolutely different in this salad, you can hardly feel them here.The best way to spend as less time as possible is to boil all ingredients the day before you need them. To cook the Vinegret salad we need the following ingredients: boiled potatoes, beetroot and carrots, preserved kidney beans, pickled cucumbers, pickled cabbage, vegetable oil.
